Trial Information

Summary: Research study of an investigational medication for Major Depressive Disorder.

An eight-week, double-blind study to evaluate the efficacy, safety, and tolerability of two fixed doses of an investigational medication in combination with paroxetine compared to placebo (an inactive substance) or paroxetine in patients with Major Depressive Disorder.

Length of Study: 10 weeks
  Number of Office Visits: 8 visits

Qualified participants will receive study medication and study related services at no cost. In addition, participants will be reimbursed for time and travel.

Study inclusion/exclusion criteria:
This study is only available to persons who:

  • Can fluently read and speak English
  • Are 18 to 65 years old
  • Are without serious health problems and are sexually active
  • Do not have certain conditions such as Bipolar or Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder
  • Are not addicted to drugs or alcohol
