Trial Information

Summary: A PET Study Examining the Doparminergic Activity of Armodafinil in Adults

Description: We are seeking healthy, right-handed men and women between the ages of 18 and 35, who do not do drugs and do not drink excessively, as normal participants in a research study. We are studying how long a drug called armodafinil stays in the brain. In order to do this, the study involves the use of a radioactive imaging drug with an approved PET scanning method. Participants will undergo a clinical evaluation and three to five days of brain imaging tests at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Participants may be paid up to $1,400 for up to 6 visits (one office visit and five scanning visits), or $900 for those who complete 4 visits (one office visit and three scanning visits). The total amount of time required would be up to 22 hours for 6 visits and 16 hours for 4 visits. Please email Allison at ahclarke@partners.org or call 617-726-0142 for more information.
