Trial Information

Summary: Age-Related Changes in Nanoparticle Albumin Bound (nab) Paclitaxel Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have breast cancer that has spread to other parts of your body and you are going to receive treatment with the drug, nab-paclitaxel. This is called a pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) study. The purpose of PK and PD is to measure levels of nab-paclitaxel in blood samples taken at different times after the drug is given to determine if age is associated with a change in the amount of nab-paclitaxel in the body or the side effects it causes. Your treatment on this study is expected to last as long as your disease does not worsen and you do not have unmanageable side effects. After your treatment on this study is over, your medical condition will continue to be followed for 30 days or until all side effects have resolved to levels at the start of study.
