Summary: Study for adults with Ulcerative Colitis

Winthrop University Hospital Clinical Trials Center is seeking volunteers for a medical research study to assess recurrence related to compliance with treatment with Lialda, an FDA approved drug for ulcerative colitis. Eligible participants will receive study-related medical exams, laboratory testing, and study medication all at no cost. You do not need health insurance to participate and compensation for time and travel may be provided. All patients receive Lialda, there is no placebo.

Patient Inclusion Criteria:

  • Male or female over age 18
  • Previous diagnosis of ulcerative colitis
  • Have inactive or active mild to moderate ulcerative colitis
