Trial Information
Summary: A study to evaluate the safety and efficacy of Xyrem® for the treatment of Fibromyalgia syndrome.
Male or female patients over 18 years who have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia to participate in a trial lasting up to 27 weeks with 12 visits. Treatment period is 14 weeks. Patients who complete this study may be eligible to enter long-term (9 1/2 months) open-label extension study.
A subject will be eligible for trial participation if he/she meets the following criteria:
- Subject is male or female 18 years of age or older.
A subject will be excluded from the trial if he/she meets any of the following criteria:
- Pending worker’s compensation litigation or other related pending litigation related to physical complaints
- Subjects on disability or pending disability evaluation for chronic pain and/or fibromyalgia.
- An occupation that requires variable shift work or routine night shifts
