Summary: Do you have chronic low back pain?
If you are at least 18 years of age and have been experiencing chronic low back pain for the past 3 months or longer, you may qualify to take part in a study of an investigational drug. The primary purpose of this research study is to assess the effectiveness of an investigational drug compared with another pain medication in providing relief of chronic low back pain.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Have confirmed symptoms of chronic back pain;
- Have chronic back pain that has lasted for at least 3 months;
- Require regular use of pain medication (at least 4 days/week) for the low back pain, except for acetaminophen which cannot be the sole analgesic used;
- Be in generally stable health.
Exclusion criteria will be evaluated during the initial patient phone screen.
