Summary: A clinical study designed to help reduce uncontrolled movements and rigidity caused by levodopa in people with Parkinson’s disease.
This clinical study (The Parkinson’s Disease Study) is examining
an investigational medication for safety and effectiveness in
treating the uncontrolled movements and rigidity
("freezing") that can be caused by levodopa. The
investigational drug attempts to block chemicals in the brain that
can contribute to movement disorders.
Study inclusion / exclusion criteria
- At least 30 years old
- Diagnosed with moderate to severe Parkinson’s disease for at
least 5 years
- On a stable dose of levodopa for at least 2 years
- Experiencing uncontrolled movements or "freezing" due
to levodopa treatment
