Summary: Metastatic Cancer to the Brain - Adults

People with metastatic cancer to the brain are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by North Shore University Hospital.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with metastatic cancer to the brain


You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have a pacemaker or defibrillators, non-compatible aneurysm clips, shrapnel, or other internal ferromagnetic objects that may interfere with the MRI imaging
  • Have a known sensitivity to gadolinium-DTPA
  • Are not able to receive corticosteroids
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
  • Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
