Summary: Volunteers needed for a clinical research study for COPD
Winthrop University Hospital Clinical Trials Center is seeking
volunteers for a clinical research study to test the safety and
effectiveness of an investigational inhaled medication for Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Do you have trouble breathing
or a persistent cough, and have never been diagnosed with asthma?
If so, you may have a disease called Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary
Disease or COPD. Research is being done in your area on an
investigational inhaler for COPD.
Eligible participants will receive study-related medical exams,
study medication and laboratory tests at no cost while
participating in the study. Compensation will also be provided for
time and travel
To be eligible for this study, you must:
- Be at least 40 years of age
- Have trouble breathing or a persistent cough
- Currently smoke and/or have smoked in the past
- Have no allergies or significant heart conditions
