Trial Information
Summary: CALGB 100104/ECOG 100104: A Phase III Randomized, Double-Blind Study of Maintenance Therapy with CC-5013 (NSC #703813, IND #70116) or Placebo Following Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation for Multiple Myeloma
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have multiple myeloma (MM). The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the side effects and effectiveness of CC-5013 as compared to placebo (identical pill containing no active drug) following autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT, receiving back your own stem cells). Your treatment on this study is expected to last about 3 to 6 months for ASCT. Following ASCT, you will take CC-5013 or placebo for as long as there is no evidence that your myeloma has progressed. After you discontinue treatment, your medical condition will be followed indefinitely.
