Summary: Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL) - Adults

People with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by North Shore University Hospital.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have been diagnosis with either relapsed or refractory acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL)
  • You may not participate in this study if you:

    • Have been diagnosis with extramedullary leukemia
    • Have been diagnosis with uncontrolled hyperlipidemia or diabetes mellitus
    • Have acute or chronic liver or kidney disease
    • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
    • Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
