Trial Information

Summary: A Phase III, Flexible-Dose Titration Followed by a Randomized, Double-Blind Study of Controlled-Release OROS Hydromorphone HCl (NMED-1077) Compared to Placebo in Patients with Osteoarthritis Pain.

Researchers want to find out if an investigational drug can help with osteoarthritis pain of the knee or hip.

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • Male or female age 30-80
  • Primary Diagnosis of OA of knee or hip joint for at least 6 months
  • Patients who require daily opioid analgesics.
  • (Other criteria apply)


Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • Patients with moderate-to-severe pain caused by disease other than OA.
  • Joint replacement at index joint.
  • Diagnosis of fibromyalgia or low back pain.
  • (Other criteria apply)
