Summary: Are you currently pregnant and have been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)?

You may be eligible to take part in a research study at Brigham and Women’s Hospital if:
- You are currently pregnant and
- You have been diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s Disease, indeterminate colitis).

This study is being done to look at the pregnancy and birth outcomes have any relation to medications that are taken for IBD. Little is known about the effects of these medications on pregnant women and their babies. As many women receive these drugs during their prime reproductive years, this information will be valuable in guiding therapy of women with CD or UC who wish to have children while receiving this therapy for their illness.

The entire study will consist of up to 7 questionnaires over the course of your pregnancy, and for one year after your child is born. Each time you complete the questionnaire, it will take about 1 hour. Completion of the questionnaires can be done in clinic, by mail, over the phone or through email.
