Trial Information

Summary: Having Uncontrolled Seizures?

The University of Arizona - Department of Neurology is evaluating an investigational medication, called E2080 (also known as Rufinamide) to help reduce seizure frequency.

This study will investigate whether E2080 will help people with partial-onset seizures who are already taking other seizure medications. The study doctor wants to research whether people who add E2080 to their regular antiepileptic drug regimens have fewer seizures than people who don’t add anything to their regular antiepileptic drug regimens.

Qualified participants must be:

  • between 12 and 80 years of age
  • in general good health
  • diagnosed with epilepsy with partial-onset seizures
  • non-controlled partial seizures despite having been treated with at least two different antiepileptic drugs for at least two years

If you qualify for participation, all study-related medical care, physical exams, lab tests and investigational drug will be provided at no cost.
