Summary: Clinical Trial using a Topical Patch in the Treatment of Pain Associated with Tendonitis or Bursitis of the Shoulder, Elbow, or Knee

Have you been recently diagnosed with tendonitis or bursitis of the shoulder, elbow or knee that occurred within the last 15 days? If you answered YES, we want to talk to you about participating in a research study of an investigational pain patch. You will be paid for your time and travel. Patient Inclusion Criteria:

• 18 years of age or older
• Have a diagnosis of acute tendonitis or bursitis of the shoulder, elbow or knee with onset of less than 15 days
• -
• Willing to discontinue use of all analgesic medications except those provided specifically for the study

Patient Exclusion Criteria:

• Have chronic tendonitis or bursitis of the shoulder, elbow, or knee
• Have been treated for prior episodes of tendonitis or bursitis in the past 6 months.
• Have a history, or physical examination finding, that is incompatible with safe participation in the study.
• Are renally or hepatically impaired
• Receiving physical therapy for tendonitis/bursitis
