Trial Information
Summary: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) - Adults and minors
People with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) are asked to
participate in a research study being conducted by The Feinstein
Institute for Medical Research.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are at least 16 years of age
- Have been diagnosed with SLE
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have glumerulonephritis
- Have central nervous system SLE associate with cognitive
impairment
- Have been treated with rituximab, abatacept, or belimumab
- Have herpes infection or Epstein-Barr virus
- Are HIV positive or have hepatitis B or C
- Have a history or presence of tuberculosis infection
- Are diagnosed with or have a family history of
Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease
- Have heart disease or heart failure
- Have a history of cancer
- Have a history of alcohol or drug abuse in the last 6
months
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant
during the study
- Have participated in another research study within the last 30
days
