Summary: Clinical trial to test a study drug in people with Bipolar I Depression

The purpose of the study is to see if the study drug being tested in subjects is safe and effective when taken along with lithium, valproate or lamotrigine for the treatment of Bipolar I Depression

Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at no cost.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have been diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder
  • Currently receiving lithium, valproate, or lamotrigine

You will not qualify if you:

  • Are pregnant or breast-feeding
  • Have attempted suicide within the last 3 months
  • Have a history of seizures and epilepsy
  • Have a history of chronic hepatitis
  • Have a known history of AIDS or HIV
  • Have participated in a clinical drug or device trial within the past 30 days.
