Summary: SWOG 9007: Cytogenetic Studies In Leukemia Patients
You have/Your child has been
asked to participate in this research study because you have/your
child has leukemia and has/have consented to receive treatment on a
Southwest Oncology Group (SWOG) treatment
protocol.
The purpose of this study is to collect bone marrow and/or
blood cell specimens from subjects participating in SWOG leukemia
treatment protocols. These specimens will be used for laboratory
studies on cytogenetic abnormalities (genetic abnormalities in
cells) and relationships between different characteristics of
cells. You/Your child’s participation
will last only the length of time required to take additional blood
and bone marrow for research purposes at the time of regularly
scheduled tests.
