Trial Information
Summary: SWOG S0433: Iodine-131 Labeled Monoclonal Antibody (I-131 Tositumomab) in Combination with Cyclophosphamide, Doxorubicin, Vincristine, Prednisone, and Rituximab Therapy for Patients With Advanced Stage Diffuse Large B Cell NHL; A Phase II Study
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have a kind of cancer called large cell lymphoma or Large B-Cell NHL (Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma). The purpose of this study is to evaluate rituximab and chemotherapy with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin (hydroxydoxorubicin), vincristine (Oncovin®), and prednisone (R-CHOP) followed by Iodine-131 (I-131) tositumomab in terms of response (tumor shrinkage) and of progression-free (no worsening of disease) survival at 2 years. Another purpose is to collect blood and tumor specimens for laboratory studies looking for relationships between differences in tumors and response to treatment. Your participation in this study is expected to last about 5-6 months for treatments and about seven years for follow-up.
