Summary: Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease who are not on Dialysis
The purpose of this study is to determine how effective a new
experimental drug is, when given at prolonged intervals (once every
four weeks) in patients with chronic kidney disease who are not on
dialysis.
Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at
no cost.
To qualify, you must:
You will not qualify if you:
- Are pregnant or breast-feeding
- Have had previous therapy with ESA within the last 12
weeks
- Have had RBC transfusion within the last 8 weeks
- Have poorly controlled hypertension
- Have a planned elective surgery during the duration of the
clinical trial
