Trial Information
Summary: Clinical trial to test a study drug in Adolescent Subjects with Steroid-Resistant Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)
This study is trying to find out whether a new, experimental
medicine that has not been used in subjects with FSGS before can be
given safely to subjects with FSGS. The study will look at how the
body handles this medication by looking at side effects and by
checking blood levels.
Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at
no cost.
To qualify, you must:
- Be a male or female who is 12-15 years old; some females who
are 10-11 years old may also be eligible
- Have a biopsy diagnosis of primary FSGS
You will not qualify if you:
- Are pregnant or breast-feeding
- Had an organ transplant
- Have a history of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes
mellitus, sickle cell disease, multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus,
HIV, Hepatitis B and C
- Have planned elective surgery
- Participated in another clinical trial within 6 weeks, or
received another study drug within 12 weeks, of starting the study
drug
