Summary: Gout Flares During Initiation of Allopurinol Therapy - Adults

People with gout are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Prem C. Chatpar, MD, LLC.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with gout
  • Have a self reported history or 2 or more gout flares in the year prior to the Screening visit

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have a gout flare within 2 weeks of the Screening visit
  • Have persistent chronic or active infections
  • Have a history of allergic reaction to allopurinol
  • History or presence of cancer within 5 years of the Screening Visit
