Summary: Do you think your pain medication causing constipation?
Advanced Clinical Therapeutics is currently recruiting
participants for a clinical research study of an investigational
drug that is being tested to treat constipation associated with
opioid (pain) killers without reducing their effectiveness.
Study participants must be:
- 18 years or older
- Currently taking an opioid prescription medicine such as
- Morphine, Oxycontin or any others for non-cancer related
pain
- Experiencing constipation (an average of less than 3 bowel
movements per week)
while taking your prescription pain medicine
Study participation includes, at no charge to
you:
- Study-related visits
- Study drug or placebo (an inactive substance)
- Study-related procedures and tests
Compensation for time and travel may be provided.
