Trial Information
Summary: Protocol H6Q-MC-S022 A Phase Ib Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic-Pharmacogenomic Study of Enzastaurin in Patients with B-Cell Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (B-CLL)
You have been asked to participate in this research because you have B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) that has relapsed (returned) or is refractory (no longer responding to available treatment). The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the investigational anti-cancer drug Enzastaurin. In addition, the study will look at the way the study drug suppresses the growth of leukemia cells and how this is related to genes (information in the cell that governs how the cell works). The study will also evaluate how the level of the study drug in the blood relates to leukemia cell suppression. Your treatment on this study is expected to last until your disease becomes worse or you develop unmanageable side effects. If you have no signs of disease progression, you may continue to receive the study drug for up to 3 years. After treatment is completed, you will continue to be followed for about 6 months.
