Summary: Clinical trial to test a study drug of Anemia in Patients with Chronic Renal Failure (CRF) not on Dialysis and not on Erythropoiesis Stimulating Agent (ESA) Treatment
The purpose of this research study is to see if an experimental
drug injection is safe and effective for anemia in subjects with
chronic renal failure who are not on dialysis and are not taking
any regimens to increase their red blood cell production
(erythropoiesis).
Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at
no cost.
To qualify, you must:
You will not qualify if you:
- Are pregnant or breast-feeding
- Have a known bleeding or coagulation disorder
- Have poorly controlled hypertension (high blood pressure)
- Are having a scheduled kidney transplant
- Have had RBC or whole blood transfusion within 12 weeks of
joining this clinical trial
- Have participated in a clinical trial within the last 4
weeks
