Summary: Advanced/Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)- Adults

Individuals with Advanced/Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Queens Hospital Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with advanced or metastatic NSCLC
  • Have had prior treatment with 1 or 2 chemotherapy regimens

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have had prior treatment with any receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (including but not limited to sunitinib, erlotinib, and gefitinib), VEGF inhibitors (with the exception of bevacizumab), or other angiogenesis inhibitors (including but not limited to thalidomide)
  • Have had major surgery within 4 weeks of first study treatment
  • Have a tumor (any histology) that involves a major blood vessel
  • Have had radiation therapy within 2 weeks of first study treatment
  • Have had systemic anticancer therapy within 4 weeks of starting the study treatment
  • Have had any of the following within the 12 months prior to starting study treatment: heart attack, severe/unstable angina, coronary/peripheral artery bypass graft, congestive heart failure, cerebrovascular accident including transient ischemic attack, or pulmonary embolism
  • Have hypertension that cannot be controlled by medications
  • Severe dry eye syndrome, Sjogren's syndrome, severe exposure keratopathy, bullous keratopathy, aniridia, severe chemical burns, neutrophilic keratitis, or clinically significant gastrointestinal abnormalities including uncontrolled inflammatory disease (eg, Crohn's or ulcerative colitis)
  • Have known human immunodeficiency virus infection
  • Have any wounds that have not completely healed, active ulcer(s) or bone fracture(s)
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
  • Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
