Summary: Are you taking Methotrexate for your Rheumatoid Arthritis? Do your symptoms still bother you?
We are seeking men and women who are taking methotrexate for
rheumatoid arthritis but are still experiencing symptoms of stiff,
tender and swollen joints to take part in a research study.
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of
an investigational medication on controlling the signs and symptoms
of rheumatoid arthritis when taken in addition to methotrexate.
Participants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have active rheumatoid arthritis
- Be taking 10 to 25 mg of methotrexate per week
- Have at least 6 tender joints and at least 6 swollen
joints
The study medication will be taken daily for 12 weeks. Study
medication and medical evaluations will be provided. Participants
will be asked to complete a number of arthritis assessment
questionnaires and provide blood and other samples for laboratory
results.
