Summary: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccine- Adults and minors

People with HPV are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Mount Sinai Medical Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you or your child:

  • Are female at between the ages of 16 and 26
  • Have never had PAP testing or have only had normal PAP results

You may not participate in this study if you or your child:

  • Have had an abnormal cervical biopsy result
  • Have had a positive test for HPV
  • Are currently using or have a history of using recreational or illicit drugs or alcohol abuse/dependence
  • Have been diagnosed as having a congenital or acquired immunodeficiency, HIV infection, lymphoma, leukemia, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowl disease, or other autoimmune condition
  • Have had your spleen removed
  • Are expecting to donate eggs during day 1 through month 7 of the study
  • Have received a marketed HPV vaccine
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
  • Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
