Summary: Painful Peripheral Neuropathy
This study is a 15-week, placebo-controlled trial comparing the
efficacy, safety, and tolerability of Pregabalin versus placebo.
The study is designed to evaluate the efficacy of Pregabalin in
reducing neuropathic pain associated with HIV infection. Pregabalin
is an FDA-approved drug for Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy. All
participants will receive monitoring throughout the study
period.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- Male or female adults at least 18 years of age
- Documented diagnosis of HIV-1 infection
- Neuropathic pain associated with HIV infection for longer than
3 months
Patient Exclusion Criteria
- Pregnant/lactating females
