Summary: An Investigational Medication for the treatment of major depression
During the past month, have you often been feeling down,
depressed, or hopeless? Are you bothered by having little interest
or pleasure in doing things? The Stanford Depression Research
Clinic is conducting an 8-week research study using an
investigational medication for the treatment of depression.
Participants will receive 8 weeks of study medication at no cost.
If you have been experiencing sadness and/or lack of motivation
nearly every day you may be eligible to participate.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- Male or Female between the ages of 18 and 70
- Diagnosis of Major Depression
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- Diagnosis of Bipolar Depression
- Psychotherapy of any type 30 days prior to screen and during
the study
- Failure of two or more medications in the current episode of
depression
