Summary: Monitoring Islet Graft Integrity with Bidirectional Pyrophosphorolysis- Activated Polymerization Allele-Specific Amplification (BI-PAP-A) Assays
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you are participating in the islet cell transplantation alone program. The purpose of this additional study is to develop and evaluate an investigational method for monitoring the integrity (good health) of the islet cell graft and compare it to currently used methods. Your participation in this study is expected to last three months from your final islet transplantation procedure.
