Summary: Volunteers needed for a pediatric Crohn’s Disease research study.
Crohn’s Disease is a potentially disabling condition that
affects the digestive system. Physicians at Winthrop University
Hospital’s pediatric gastroenterology division are conducting a
research trial to test the safety and effectiveness of treating
symptoms in children with a medication newly approved for
adults.
Qualified participants will receive study-related medical care
and study medication at no cost and do not need health insurance to
participate. Compensation for time and travel is also
available.
Inclusion Criteria: To be eligible for this
study you must:
- Be between the ages of 6 and 17
- Have a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease for greater than 12
weeks
