Summary: Type 2 Diabetes on a stable dose of Metformin?

A phase 2a, randomized, placebo-controlled, parallel group, multiple-dose study to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of 12-week oral administration of pf-00734200 tablets to subjects with type 2 diabetes mellitus on stable treatment with metformin.

As a participant, you will receive study-related care and study medication,lab tests, glucose monitoring supplies, and diet and exercise counseling at no charge. You will also be asked to attend regular study visits for the duration of up to 24 weeks trial.

InclusionCriteria:

  • Male or female 18 to 70
  • Females must be non-childbearing
  • On a stable dose of metformin for 2 months or longer glucose levels between 140 and 270

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Any oral hypoglycemic agent other than Metformin within 2 the last months Type 1 diabetes
