Trial Information
Summary: Do you suffer from constipation? Are you taking prescribed pain medication?
If you regularly take prescription pain medication for chronic
non-cancer related pain, you may be suffering from Opioid-Induced
Bowel Dysfunction, or chronic constipation. OBD is a common side
effect associated with taking pain medication. HOPE Research
Institute is currently enrolling adults in a clinical research
study evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational
medication for the treatment of constipation in chronic pain
medication use.
Qualified study participants will receive study supervision by a
board-certified physician, study-related tests and exams, as well
as study medication at no charge. Also, qualified participants may
receive compensation for their time and travel. Participants will
continue to take their prescribed pain medication throughout the
duration of the study. This study is being conducted in Phoenix,
AZ.
Are you:
- At least 18 years old?
- Currently taking a pain medication for chronic non-cancer
pain?
- Suffering from chronic constipation side effects, also known as
OBD?
If you answered yes to those 3 questions, you may qualify to
