Summary: A Phase II Study of Sirolimus, Tacrolimus and Thymoglobulin, as Graft-versus-Host Prophylaxis in Patients Undergoing Unrelated Donor Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation

You have/your child has been asked to participate in this research study because you are/your child is scheduled to receive a transplant of stem cells or bone marrow from an unrelated donor for a hematologic (blood or blood producing organ) disorder. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the combination of Sirolimus/tacrolimus and Thymoglobulin® for prophylaxis (preventive treatment) for graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) after transplant. Your/your child’s participation in this study is expected to last about 6 months for treatment and indefinitely after transplant for follow up.
