Summary: Multiple Sclerosis treated with Betaseron® - Adults

People with multiple sclerosis are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by the NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 50
  • Have been recently diagnosis with multiple sclerosis

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have any other neurological disease
  • Have heart disease or heart failure
  • Have a history of depression or suicidal thoughts
  • Have uncontrolled seizure disorder
  • Have a history of alcohol or substance abuse
  • Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
  • Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
