Summary: Cholesterol Trial Information

Most research studies are conducted in a younger population - doctors need more information for treating older patients with high cholesterol.

This study compares 2 FDA-approved cholesterol-lowering treatments in people over 65 with high cholesterol.

Study Participants Must:

  • Be 65 years of age or older
  • Have a high level of LDL (bad) cholesterol.

Study Participants May Receive:

  • Study medication
  • Study-related physical exams and laboratory tests
  • Compensation for time and travel
