Summary: Outpatient study for women and men with mild, chronic pain

Research Volunteers Needed: Healthy women and men (21-55 years of age) with mild, chronic pain needed for an outpatient study at the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The study will last for 4 weeks (14 sessions total). Medications will be given. Study payments are approximately $1135. For information, call (212) 543-6543.

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • Age: 21-55 years
  • Condition: Mild, chronic pain
  • Health: Otherwise healthy
  • Gender: Male and female
  • Geographic: Able to visit the New York State Psychiatric Institute frequently for 4 weeks

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • Health: Major medical conditions
  • Women: Pregnant or nursing women
  • Medication: Volunteers who report sensitivity or contraindication to certain study medications
