Trial Information
Summary: A Phase II Study or Oral LBH589 in Adult Patients with Mutiple Myeloma Who Have Received at Least Two Prior Lines of Therapy and Whose Disease is Refractory to the Most Recent Line of Therapy
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have multiple myeloma (MM) that is no longer responding to the treatments you have already been given. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the safety and anti-cancer effects of the investigational drug LBH589. In addition, the study will look at the internal workings of a cancer cell to find out how LBH589 affects the abnormal way cancer cells grow. Your participation in this study is expected to last until your disease becomes worse or you develop unmanageable side effects. If you have a complete response to treatment and remission of disease (no signs of your disease are evident by standard clinical tests), you may continue to receive LBH589.
