Summary: New prevention medication trial for migraine sufferers
A study to test two different doses of a new oral migraine
prevention medicine (Lacosamide)against placebo to decrease
frequency of migraines.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- 18-65 years of age
- 2-8 migraine episodes per month
- No more than 15 headache days per month in last two months
- Not using headache treatment medication more than twice per
week in last two months must be able to discontinue current
prevention medications, but not abortive/acute
medications
Patient Exclusion Criteria
- more than 15 headache days per month in either of prior two
months.
- use of migraine treatment medication more than twice per week
in either of last two months.
