Summary: Evaluation of single-doses of acute migraine medication versus placebo - administered one time, subcutaneously

A study to evaluate the effectiveness of three different doses of Tezampanel vs. placebo in a single episode of migraine. You will receive a one-time subcutaneous injection of medication and then record your migraine response in a diary while being observed at our clinic. Your chances of receiving the new medication is 3 out of 4 and your chance of receiving placebo is 1 out of 4. A total of 3 study visits.

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • 18-65 years old
  • history of 1-6 acute migraine headaches per month
  • not using any daily preventative medications for 14 days before study screening visit

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • cardiovascular illness
  • high blood pressure
