Summary: Evaluation of a New Medication for Treatment of Painful Diabetic Neuropathy
This study will test how well different doses of an
investigational oral medication work compared to a placebo tablet
to reduce pain caused by diabetes related nerve damage.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- You must have a diagnosis of Diabetes and have pain due to
Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy for at least 6 months.
- You must have been taking a pain reliever (prescription or over
the counter) for the past 3 months and be dissatisfied with the
treatment.
Patient Exclusion Criteria
- Significant medical diseases other than Diabetes
- Foot ulcers or amputations
- Poor control of your Diabetes
