Summary: Dose Ranging Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of LX201 for Prevention of Corneal Allograft Rejection Episodes and Graft Failure Following Penetrating Keratoplasty with LX201 Implantation in Subjects Who Are at Increased Immunological Risk
Mount Sinai School of Medicine is currently conducting a
research drug study of LX201 to evaluate its safety in implantation
in the eye for preventing a corneal graft from rejection/failure in
patients who are at increased immunological risk for failure.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Are a candidate for a corneal transplant
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have a history of more than 3 graft failures in the eye to be
studied.
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding or intend to become pregnant during
the study
- Have received an organ transplant
- Are HIV positive
- Have uncontrollable glaucoma
- Have participated in another research study within the last 30
days
