Summary: Cystic Fibrosis - Adults and minors

People with cystic fibrosis are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Long Island Jewish Medical Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Are at least 6 years of age at time of screening
• Have confirmed diagnosis of cystic fibrosis
• Have a lung infection caused by the bacteria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa

You may not participate in this study if you:

• Have a history of infection yielding Burkholderia cepacia
• Known hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides or inhaled antibiotics
• History of hearing loss or chronic tinnitus
• Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
• Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
