Trial Information
Summary: Cystic Fibrosis - Adults and minors
People with cystic fibrosis are asked to participate in a
research study being conducted by Long Island Jewish Medical
Center.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are at least 6 years of age at time of screening
- Have confirmed diagnosis of cystic fibrosis
- Have a lung infection caused by the bacteria, Pseudomonas
aeruginosa
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have a history of infection yielding Burkholderia cepacia
- Known hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides or inhaled
antibiotics
- History of hearing loss or chronic tinnitus
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant
during the study
- Have participated in another research study within the last 30
days
