Trial Information
Summary: Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE) - Adults
People with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE ) are asked to
participate in a research study being conducted by North Shore Long
Island Jewish Health System.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if
you:
- Are an Adult at least 18 years of age
- Have been diagnosed with SLE
- Biopsy with 6 month screening visit indicating active
proliferative lupus glomerulonephritis
- Active renal disease at the screening visit
You may not participate in this study if
you:
- Have severe, unstable and/or progressive CNS lupus
- Have any autoimmune disease other than SLE as your main
diagnosis
- Have a history of cancer (within the last 5 years)
- Are at risk to tuberculosis
- Are a renal transplant recipient or candidate
- Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant
during the study
- Have participated in another research study within the last 30
days
