Trial Information

Summary: A study to compare bevacizumab with or without erlotinib for subjects with advanced or metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)

Queens Hospital is currently recruiting subjects with advanced or metastatic (has spread to other organs in the body) NSCLC to participate in a research study.

Study drug and study procedures will be made available to you at no cost. Costs associated with the standard treatment of your cancer will be billed to you or your insurance company.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Be diagnosed with advanced non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer

You will not qualify if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have had prior chemotherapy (prior adjuvant therapy and combined therapy is allowed provided there is an interval of at least 6 months prior to recurrence)
  • Have had radiation therapy within 21 days before starting study
  • Have had treatment with another experimental drug
  • Are currently or have an ongoing treatment with a full-dose of anti-coagulant (such as Coumadin)
  • Have cancer that has spread to the brain
  • Have hemoptysis (blood in sputum)
  • Have history of heart attack, stroke or known bleeding disorder
