Trial Information
Summary: A multi-center, open-labeled study of the safety, efficacy, and pharmacokinetics of lupiprostone in pediatric patients with constipation.
The purpose of this is to see if lubiprostone is safe and
effective for use in children. If your child takes part, your child
will be one of 120 subjects in the study. This study will involve
six study visits including five office visits and one telephone
call. Your child’s total participation in the study will last about
8 weeks.
Study inclusion / exclusion criteria
- 17 years of age or younger
- Weighs at least 26 1/2 pounds (12 kg) and is capable of
swallowing capsules
- Has been diagnosed with constipation
