Summary: Investigational monoclonal antibody study for People with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus
People between the ages of 18 and 60 with Type 1 Diabetes
Mellitus are needed to participate in a research study of an
investigational monoclonal antibody. There is no charge for study
visits. Most study visits take place over a 12 week period with
periodic follow-up for 4 years. Qualified participants may be
compensated for time and travel required.
Study inclusion / exclusion criteria
Men or Women of any race between 18-60 years old who are
generally in good health and with a history of Type 1 Diabetes
Mellitus; must be willing come to the clinic for 8 sequential days
of dosing; any existing medications must be on a stable dose for 4
weeks. Multiple blood draws will be required throughout this study.
Interested patients must give informed consent and be willing to be
evaluated via a physical examination and several laboratory tests
prior to being allowed to participate. People with a prior history
of HIV, tuberculosis, syphilis, hepatitis, spleen removal, severe
allergic reactions, or alcohol or drug dependency or abuse are not
permitted to participate in the study.
