Trial Information
Summary: Needed: Children with Down Syndrome, age 2 - 5 years.
Researchers at Boston University School of Medicine are
investigating children's development in early childhood in the
social and emotional domains. We will explore individual
differences in groups of children, both typically developing and
children with developmental disabilities (with Down syndrome and
with Williams syndrome) using observational and interactive play
activities with the child. We will also conduct developmental
assessments. Parents will be asked to complete questionnaires and a
brief interview.
Who can participate: If your child is between
the ages of 2-5 years, you and your child may be eligible to take
part in this research.
What is the time commitment: The study will
take place at Boston University School of Medicine, and will
involve 2 to 3 visits over the course of 10-12 months. Each visit
will last 2-3 hours. All visits are scheduled at your
convenience.
What is the compensation: The pay rate is $50
upon completion of all activities, and each child receives a small
gift. We also pay for parking and local travel costs.
