Trial Information
Summary: Clinical Trial to evaluate the effectiveness of investigational medication for the treatment of Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis.
Phase IV,Double-Blind, Parallel-Group study of Cardiovascular
safety in Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients with or
at High Risk for Cardiovascular Disease comparing Celecoxib with
Naproxen and Ibuprofen
Patient Inclusion Criteria
- Men or Women 18 yrs or older
- Diagnosis of Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid Arthritis of at least
6 months
- Must be eligible for chronic daily therapy with an NSAID to
control symptoms
- Subject with established or at high risk for Cardiovascular
Disease
Patient Exclusion Criteria
- Has acute joint trauma with symptoms
- Planned surgery or invasive procedure
- Known hypersensitivity to celecoxib, ibuprofen, naproxen,
aspirin, esomeprazole, sulfonamides, proton pump inhibitors,
lactose or NSAIDS
- Malignancy within the last 5 years
- GI disorders
